Rock Band Program Policy Updated 8/15/2019
Students must also be enrolled in private lessons at The Foundation Music Center to participate in Rock Band
Students will be billed monthly for rehearsals including any performance fees.
The Foundation Music Center reserves the right to cancel or change the class schedule or teachers at any time. Classes are subject to availability and space. No refunds for cancelled lessons or rollovers of rehearsals to the next month or session.
We hold a variety of concerts during the year. Depending on the production and location, there may be a fee involved. Each concert fee may cost between $0 to $50 per student. We will post the different costs depending on the event and venue.
Rehearsals and concerts run continuously year round. We expect students to attend all main concerts (2-3 times per year). Smaller, more casual concerts will be held throughout the year and will be optional.
Students must commit t0 regular rehearsal time to ensure the band's success in learning together. We offer two options for band rehearsals. This allows for ample practice time and flexibility to the students who have set band members or might need alternative rehearsal times.
3 hour rehearsals once a week at a package rate.
Students are expected to attend every rehearsal; if a rehearsal is missed, the band member will not receive a make up. There is no rollover rehearsal time to the next month or session. Tuition is a flat monthly fee.
Coached rehearsals per band at an hourly rate
Band members may schedule a rock band teacher as a weekly slot or as-needed. Students must cancel 24 hours prior to the rehearsal appointment through the student portal calendar to receive a make up.
